Concealed within Grand Hyatt Hong Kong’s Japanese restaurant, Kaetsu, The Teppanroom offers a sophisticated and discreet private-dining experience. With its rich and moody interior, vibrant attitude, and wide-ranging stylistic influences layered over a Japanese base, The Teppanroom transports diners to another era and place. The design is based on a Japanese-inspired palette of timber and is layered with influences from around the globe. From the solid timber dining bench, which seats an intimate 16, every diner has a prime view of the theatre of the teppanyaki grill.
As a part of our ongoing relationship with Grand Hyatt Hong Kong, BAR Studio was responsible for the concept and full interior design of The Teppanroom. BAR Studio continues to work with Grand Hyatt Hong Kong and we are developing concepts for other food and beverage spaces within the hotel. Completed 2013.
